My primary aim is to produce forms which add a strong visual, tactile and solid material quality to any space.

My design ideas draw upon natural and abstract forms. I work in an open ended way and this enables the creation of unexpected and unplanned results. I have created smooth polished work and coarse naturally textured slate pieces and in some work have combined both.

My only theory is one of problem solving in attempting to practically achieve my aims and to satisfy any aesthetic goals in terms of size, balance and proportion in any finished work.
